Here is a very special 1920's Oscar Schmidt (Stella) Hawaiian Guitar constructed with highly figured Hawaiian Koa. This is the perfect collectors guitar with it approaching 100 years in age and still playing well.
This guitar is set up for lap-style slide playing.
There are some signs of wear and use including some small dings and scratches from use of the last ~100 years (as pictured). The original bridge has also been replaced previously with everything else being all original. The frets are show minimal wear due to it's lap-style playing nature.
A little bit about this beautiful guitar:
"Oscar Schmidt offered guitars like this one bearing the 'Hawaiian Guitar' label in the 1920's. The were high quality guitars. The body is made from beautiful Hawaiian Koa with 'rope' binding around the top, sound hole and down the back middle seam. The neck is mahogany. It is the coveted green label in the sound hole depicting a Hawaiian 'Kaamania' playing lap-sytle guitar under a palm on the beach."
