A rare opportunity to own one of Gibson's most sought-after reissues!
This 1983 Gibson Heritage Flying V Korina is an excellent example from Gibson's acclaimed Heritage Series, faithfully inspired by the legendary 1958 Flying V with its lightweight Korina construction and vintage-correct specifications.
Presented in excellent condition for its age, this guitar remains remarkably original and comes complete with its original Gibson hardshell case.
The guitar retains its original 1983-stamped Tim Shaw PAF humbuckers, original hardware, original frets, and what appear to be its original pots and wiring. There is additional solder present on the potentiometers, likely from routine servicing or minor repairs over the years. Due to the solder, the pot date codes are difficult to read, but all components appear to be original.
This Flying V has clearly been well cared for throughout its life. The Korina body remains exceptionally clean, displaying only light patina, a handful of minor surface dings, and light cosmetic wear consistent with a guitar of this vintage. The original frets show moderate play wear but still have plenty of life remaining.
With its lightweight Korina construction, desirable Tim Shaw pickups, and highly original condition, this is an outstanding example that will appeal equally to collectors and players alike.
A fantastic addition to any vintage Gibson collection and a rare chance to own one of the finest Heritage Series Flying Vs.
