Here's a beautiful piece of history! This 1943 Gibson LG-2 was made in Kalamazoo, Michigan and features the fabled "Only a Gibson is Good Enough" banner. This guitar absolutely sings with great projection and a rich, warm tone that only aged woods can offer. This guitar is in good condition for its age with signs of wear and repair.
This guitar has just received a professional neck reset, partial refret/crown & dress and a full setup with a new saddle so it is playing beautifully! There has been previous splits repaired on the back & sides of the guitar as well as a previous bridge repair.
A Spruce top meets mahogany back & sides, a mahogany neck a rosewood fretboard & bridge. This guitar offers great projection from its smaller body with great midrange presence.
A fantastic piece of history that sounds and plays great. Perfect for the player wanting to record that vintage Gibson acoustic tone in the studio. Comes with original alligator leather case in fair condition.
