Here's something very special! This 1955 Fender Tweed Deluxe is a classic amplifier with the tweed breakup that us guitarists are forever chasing! This amplifier is in good, fully functional pre-owned condition and is sounding great.
This amp dates to 1955 with the letters EA on the tube chart. Approximately 15-watts of power is delivered through the original Jensen Alnico 5 PM Speaker. This amp utilises a 5Y3-GT rectifier valve, 2x6v6-GT power valves and a 12AY7 & 12AX7 preamp valve configuration.
This amplifier shows obvious signs of wear with some cosmetic damage including tearing of the grille clothe. There is also some scratches and wear to the tweed covering, more than justifiable given its age. Some patina to the control panel and screws form the rest of the wear.
A fantastic example of a vintage Fender Tweed Deluxe, the original transformer has been previously rewound to run on 240 Volts so no step down transformer is required.
