Here's a great find for the collector or player alike! This Fender Custom Telecaster dates to late 1971/ early 1972 and looks great in its original double bound 3-Colour Sunburst.

This beautiful Tele is in very good condition for its age with its original late 60's pickups and original potentiometers dating to 1966. This guitar has had a professional re-fret by NSW Luthier Frank Grubisa with 6105 fretwire recently so it's playing like a dream!

This guitar still carries all the magic of an early CBS era Fender with it's lightweight feel (3.5kg) neck heel truss rod adjustment and it's 4-bolt neck design making it extremely resonant.

The guitar has previously had other pickups wired in and the originals now reinstalled. 

Both pickups are original with both the correct dark grey bottom and top plates, as consistent with Fenders from this period as they moved from light grey bottom plate (1965-1968) to dark grey from 1968. Wiring and wax coatings are also consistent with early 1970 Fender pickups. Volume and tone potentiometer codes are 137-6634, made by CTS in the 34th week of 1966.

The guitar is all original except for the strap buttons.

The case is a non-original '70s authentic Fender case with it's handle missing and the original bridge cover is also missing.

There are only a few small finish blemishes/dings, some patina to the hardware and some small splits to the pickguard around some of the screws.
