Pre-owned in very good condition, this Ceriatone Chupacabra 50 is a powerful valve amplifier head producing classic hot rodded plexi tones.

This amp and cabinet show some signs of wear with some screw holes on the sides and some marks/wear. The vinyl covering on the cabinet is also a little worn on the top as pictured.

The Ceriatone Chupacabra 50 was the first offering in our Hot Rodded Plexi series, and is still a favorite for fans of British guitar tones who are keen on finding their own unique voice.

The Chupa 50 is a nod to Jose Arredondo-modified circuits of the late ‘70s and ‘80s, but with a few refinements.   Compared to our Yeti, the Chupa is brighter, has more gain, is tighter, and more aggressive.  Neither is better than the other, which is why we offer both, dummy!

Part of what makes the Chupacabra so fun is it’s ability to dial in KILLER tones from all sorts of types of music in a simple format, all the while maintaining it’s own voice and integrity.

Like other Ceriatone amps, we have labored carefully to select the finest components to suit the design, and the Chupacabra uses our specially designed, custom transformers for superior reliability, frequency response, and feel.
