The Boss BF-2B is designed specifically for bass guitar, giving you best results when used with bass. The four controls are; Manual, Depth, Rate, Res. Setting the Depth to MIN a short delay like effect can be achieved.

The Manual knob sets the centre frequency of the flanging effect. Rotating it clockwise increases the frequency and counterclockwise gives the opposite result.

The Depth knob sets the maximum range of the flanging frequency altered from that set with the Manual knob. 

The Resonance knob adjusts the amount of feedback. Rotating clockwise emphasises the effect and high settings can lead to oscillation.

The Rate knob adjusts the rate of the flanging effect with clockwise being faster and counterclockwise slower.
