Now here's a cool find for the fan of vintage Hofner guitars! This 1961 Hofner Club 50 was made in Germany and distributed by Selmer London. This guitar is in good condition for its age and has been freshly setup.

The club series of guitars from Hofner are an awesome find for the music historian with many of the greats playing these in their early days! McCartney, Harrison, Lennon, Hendrix, Gilmour, Blackmore, Frampton and many more played either a Club 40, 50 or 60!

This guitar is playing and sounding great but it is not without obvious signs of age. The neck heel has a small seperation along the factory lamination line, but it is structurally stable. We've factored this into the price of the guitar, but at the same time, are happy to repair it at the buyers request, at the cost price of the repair job (thus giving you the option also to leave it alone, or take it to your preferred repairer). It's perfectly useable as it is. There are other marks and scratches from use over the years as expected on a guitar of this age, but nothing out of the ordinary.

The frets show some flattening but the action is nice and playable. The control knobs have also been previously changed.

A very cool '60s Hofner that comes with its original case. Please note, case also shows wear.
