Pre-owned in excellent condition, this is a great find for the vintage Roland/Boss collector! This pedal has been very well looked after and even comes with it's original box.
This pedal is powered by a pair of 9-volt batteries which in series supply 18-volts.
Roland, established in 1972, launched the AP-2 Phase II in 1975. The AP-2 along with a couple of siblings formed a small line-up of effects pedals to bear the Roland name until the company decided to use the new Boss brand name for their effects pedals from 1976 onwards.
This vintage phaser has controls for "Rate" and "Resonance" to manipulate both the amount of phase, and the shape of the sine wave, yielding a huge array of smooth Leslie-inspired tones. Everything from a slight, slow-rolling phase to an intense, spacey tonal manipulation comes out of this versatile unit.
