Here's a cool 1920s Oscar Schmidt Stella imported into Australia in the 1920s by J.Albert & Sons. This guitar is in good condition for it's age and features a spruce top which many of the earlier acoustic guitars we've had in lack.
This guitar has been sanded back to a natural finish as it was once painted. It shows wear including dings, a repaired split on the back and a small split on the back towards the top as pictured. The frets show some wear and the ebonised fretboard is worn in the lower fret areas. It is currently strung with nickel strings for a classic blues tone.
The previous owner has also installed a piezo pickup making this a very versatile vintage gutar.
A very neat piece of guitar history, comes with hand made plywood case.
