Here's something quite special for the Martin collector or player alike, a Martin D-76 Bicentennial Commemorative Limited Edition acoustic! This one owner guitar is in very good condition for its age and sounds fantastic with rich bass response and a heap of projection.
This guitar shows some signs of wear and use from the last 48 years including some small scratches and dings on the top and back (as pictured). The frets are in great condition with minimal wear and the action is very nice, a great playing guitar.
This guitar features a solid Sitka Spruce top and Solid Indian Rosewood back & sides. The back on this D-76 is in the style of a D-35 with 3-piece construction, the tonewoods selected however are of the highest quality with beautiful grain structure. A dark Ebony fretboard meet star inlays with an Eagle on the headstock as a nod to the United States Bicentennial.
This guitar is number 1973 of 1976 made for the United States Bicentennial and its original internal plaque is still perfectly intact. It comes with the original Certificate of Award, which has been framed, along with the original deluxe hardshell case.
