Pre-owned in very good condition, this Ibanez AH-10 is a great playing instrument made in Japan in 1985. This Allan Holdsworth Signature features a Burgundy finish and a 17" radius ebony fretboard for a fast action that Holdsworth's playing style demanded.

This guitar shows some signs of wear and use including a larger scratch above the body bevel (as pictured). There are also some scratches on the pickguard and patina to the hardware. The frets are in good condition with some wear but much less than you'd expect of a 39 year old instrument suggesting a possible previous refret.

A fantastic find for the Holdsworth fan or player wanting a slick playing vintage guitar. Comes with original hardshell case and tremolo arm.

From Ibanez Wiki

"The AH10 is an solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1985. It is a signature model for British jazz fusion guitarist Allan Holdsworth.

The AH10 features a double-cutaway Roadstar II shaped basswood body with a tone chamber routed beneath the pickups bolted to a maple neck with a 25½" scale and a 17" radius 22-fret ebony fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include a single custom-made humbucking pickup mounted in a black pickguard, a specially configured Powerocker tremolo with a short 150mm tremolo arm, Tek Grip knobs and Smooth Tuner II machine heads. The headstock features a special spider logo which was designed by Holdsworth.

The AH10 was perhaps the first commercially available guitar with a basswood body. Holdsworth wanted a light guitar, so Ibanez luthiers evaluated a few species of wood that weren't commonly used for guitars including basswood and jelutong. They found that jelutong (which was the lightest of the woods they considered) didn't hold screws as well as other options, so basswood was chosen. Basswood has since become the wood used in the original JEM777 and in the majority of the RG series over the past 30+ years.

The AH20 is a similar model with two humbuckers.

The AH10 was discontinued after 1987."
