Here's a beautiful vintage Ibanez archtop! This 2461 was made in Japan in 1976 and features a pair of floating Ibanez Super 70 humbucking pickups which produce some great tones.

An Ebony fretboard and maple set neck feels great in the hand, currently setup with Thomastik flatwounds.

This guitar is in very good condition for its age but does show some wear including some lacquer discolouration on the top adjacent to the binding. There are also some small marks and patina to the hardware. The frets show a small amount of wear with some very small divots forming in the lower frets as pictured.

A quality Ibanez that plays like a dream, comes with original hardshell case and original proprietary input cable.

"The 2461 is a hollow body archtop style electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1975. It was crafted in Japan. It's visually similar to Gibson's "Johnny Smith" model, but is not an exact copy —blocked top wood is used in the construction and not solid, as in the original and the headstock design is different.

The 2461 features a full-hollow body design with spruce top, ƒ holes and ivory multi-binding on figured maple back and sides with a single Venetian cutaway mated to a set-in maple neck with 20-fret polished ebony fingerboard, pearl split block position markers, and a black headstock with a fancy inlay and the Ibanez logo. Components include a pair of floating Ibanez Super 70 humbucking pickups, a tortoise pickguard which supports the pickups and contains the controls, an ebony bridge, gold hardware and Smooth Tuner machine heads."
