The Smartwood Exotic line (1996-2002) included six limited-run models constructed from wood certified by the Rainforest Alliance. Each Smartwood guitar featured tops made from different woods... this particular guitar is made from "Chancharana" and has a deep, warm-brown russet color. The fretboard is made from "Curupay" harvested from forests certified in accordance with the rules of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
