Here's a cool vintage piece! This Hofner 173 features a "Brokat" finish from factory, a neat floral vinyl wrap that is a pretty rare find. This guitar was made in Germany in the 1960s and produces some great tones from its original pickups.

This guitar is in good condition for its age but is not without wear including patina and some lifting of the vinyl and binding. There are also a number of non original screws around the body with some missing.

It is playing very nicely and the original frets show minimal wear, much less than you'd expect on a guitar of this age. The electronics all appear to function as intended after a good clean however the bottom tone pot seems to interact in reverse.

A very cool, vintage, German made Hofner in a rare finish.
