2008 model PRS McCarty Hollowbody II with original case.
A hollowbody version of the PRS McCarty, the Marty Hollowbody II was launched in 1998. The Hollowbody II differs from the Hollowbody I in its use of a figured Maple top. It starts with premium tonewoods: carved figured maple for the top and back, mahogany for the sides. This particular combination yields a clear, yet resonant, tone that suits any musical style. The mahogany neck is topped with a smooth, inviting rosewood fingerboard adorned with dot inlays.
The PRS Hollowbody II is built like no other guitar. Instead of the center block that runs top to bottom through semi-hollow guitar bodies, the Hollowbody II features only a small block that anchors the bridge. This proprietary PRS construction gives you the warm resonance of a full hollowbody with the clarity, sustain, and rock-solid stability of a semi — all in a comfortable thin-profile instrument. So if you're a solidbody player, you'll feel right at home on a Hollowbody II.
This guitar has been used and shows some general light wear, as well as some light fretwear. It sustained some slight damage to the headstock which has since been professionally fixed by one of Perth's top instrument restorers, now just a small coloured line remains (smooth to the touch and re-lacuered). The original hardcase is included, which also shows some slight cosmetic wear. No hang tags are included in the case.
