Originating in the 1940s, the Gibson J-45 Historic Acoustic-Electric Guitar is still the choice of top recording artists. It's a compact guitar with soft shoulders and a short scale (24-3/4"). It features scalloped and tuned bracing, body binding, mother-of-pearl dot markers, and vintage nickel tuners. The top is solid Sitka spruce, back and sides are solid Honduran mahogany, bridge and fretboard are rosewood. Equipped with an L.R. Baggs pickup for amplified gigs.
