Pre-Owned 1980 Explorer II in excellent condition. Has been very well looked after as there are very few signs of wear or dents/scratches. There is some patina present on the gold hard-wear. Original black, this example has had the finish professionally stripped to reveal the decorative walnut body (this guitar was also offered in this natural walnut finish). Awesome vintage Explorer limited edition!

Bridge pickup original (with 1980 date stamp), neck pickup has been replaced with later model Gibson USA pickup.

Gigbag included.

The Explorer II (also known as the E2) was a modern update to the Explorer that launched in 1979. The Explorer II was distinguished by using a Walnut or Maple top on a five-piece maple body with beveled edges. It also had a number of cosmetic appointments to set it apart from other Explorers including an "E2" emblem on the truss-rod cover.
