Do You Have a Trade In?

This beautiful vintage 1963 Gibson ES-335 is in great condition, especially for its age. This is an outstanding example of a 'holy grail' vintage ES-335.

Classic Cherry Red finish, with block inlays - just like Clapton's.

This guitar comes from a local player, who has owned it since 1969! The guitar was used extensively in Perth bands The Elks and Sid Rumpo.

You'll find the typical vintage wear on this ES-335 - including slight finish checking, scratches and dings. There is a slight amount of finish shrinkage around the neck join, and the fingerboard binding has cracked in a few places.

The pickups are the original Patent number humbuckers with nickel covers, all pots are original. The guitar briefly had a Bigsby tremolo in the 1960's, after which the original tailpiece was reinstalled, and the holes filled. The Cherry Red finish has retained a beautiful, deep red colour and is in generally fantastic condition.

The only non-original parts on this guitar are the tuners (Schaller) replaced decades ago, and the nylon saddles were replaced with nickel after they disintegrated. It had a re-fret sometime in the 1970's, and still has plenty of fret life.

Overall the guitar presents beautifully, and has a fantastic tone that you would expect from a vintage instrument of this caliber.

Includes Epiphone hardshell case.
