1990 model Gibson Chet Atkins Nylon Acoustic-Electric in excellent condition. We love these 1990's Gibson Chet Atkins signatures! Electric playability, with nylon sound.
This particular example is in excellent, near mint condition, and has had very little play time for it's age - shows no fretwear, and general lack of any real play wear. The finish is glossy, and looks near-new.
Includes original brown Gibson hardshell case.
This guitar was developed in cooperation with Chet Atkins, and is perfect for the use in Studios or live on stage, where the sound of a Nylon-string guitar is needed with great playability and no feedback problems. The bridge transducer delivers an authentic nylon-string sound, and features subtle 2-wheel volume/tone controls which are both easy to use and complement the design of the instrument.
The condition overall can excellent - most noticeably it exhibits fairly substantial lacquer crazing commonly seen on older lacquer finished instruments. It has a number of small aesthetic marks consistent with it's age (almost 40 years old), but has been well cared for.
It is currently set up with a low action and plays beautifully up and down the neck. The original electronics are in good working order and the guitar sounds great plugged in.
It comes with its original brown Gibson case with green lining (name stenciled on case - see last picture).
